Laughing Elephant Books is an independent publisher based in San Diego. Publisher of the best seller, Everything I Need to Know I Learned from Led Zeppelin, and the perennially popular Good Dog Carl series of children’s books. Laughing Elephant Books crafts books that are tactile, beautifully illustrated, well designed, and often surprising. The company publishes books in areas such as classic children’s books, pop culture, food and drink, and innovative gift books. Laughing Elephant Books was founded in 1992 by Harold and Sandra Darling.  Their son Benjamin Darling took the role of publisher in 2020.
